The Torture Legislation One of the Darkest Days Has Arrived In America

What Have We Become By Saying Nothing?

Ever since this issue has come up I have been so angry especially in the fact that most Americans were not speaking out against what their President was supporting, systematic torture even before it was passed into law. Well folks, it is now official. Your President can now systematically torture even US citizens.

Let me say here that ‘torture’ has never ever been an effective tool in interrogation. People are going to confess to even false charges rather than experience pain at the hands of their perpetrators. But what has outraged me even more was that John Yoo, one of President Bush’s staff advisors openly stated even infants being tortured in front of their parents.

Have we become so dumbed down that as moral human beings that we do not speak out against such evil? My God, what are we turning into?

A High Ranking

In extensive interviews with MSNBC.com, former leaders of the Defense Department’s Criminal Investigation Task Force said they repeatedly warned senior Pentagon officials beginning in early 2002 that the harsh interrogation techniques used by a separate intelligence team would not produce reliable information, could constitute war crimes, and would embarrass the nation when they became public knowledge. (Bill Dedman, Investigative Reporter, MSNBC October 24, 2006

We must take action to send a clear message that the current Administration cannot and will not be tolerated by decent Americans. Contact your Senators, talk about these issues with your family andneighbor’ss and encourage them to get involved. If we don’t, the days ahead are taking us into total tyranny.
